Depending on usage and water conditions, it is recommended this the cartridges be replaced each 2 weeks. The filter cartridge should be removed and checked at least one time a week. It can be partially cleaned by rinsing off together with a garden hose. If it still appears dirty, it should be replaced immediately.

Bargain Spa-in-a-box substitue 2009-10-13

I have a newer Spa-in-a-box pump and these filters fit it nicely and at a fraction of the cost of the official filters that go for about $25 a-piece. These come to about $3 a-piece. No-brainer substitute.

These are POOL FILTERS not toys-I'm not sure how Amazon came up with the toy angle but from a POOL FILTER point of view they are perfect and the seller was great-will use again

I ordered these filters thinking that I was getting a great bargain. I have yet to figure out what the problem was. I ordered other filters from Amazon from a different seller and they were a different brand. I was very impressed with those filters because I only had to change them once every two weeks (we live on a dirt road in the country). These filters on the other hand, had to be changed once every three days if the pool was in use daily and once a week if the pool was not used daily. You could also not reuse them (rinse them out and use again) as stated. You could rinse them out, but the very next day they were just a bad as when you took the out to rinse. As I said, I am unsure if it is the filter (since I didn't have this much issue with the other ones) or if it was something else. However, I would not recommend these if you live in a rural area.
