I couldn't have been too surprised by the other reviews I read for this flashlight. However, I have some similar units and they seem to work pretty well. I bought nine of them in anticipation that one or more would not work. After putting batteries in them and firing them up, they ALL worked - much to my surprise. However, after VERY little use, two of them began exhibiting the symptoms others described in their reviews. Sometimes they work; sometimes they don't. No matter since I don't plan to rely on them and they're going to be used only now-and-then, anyway.

Love these little LED flashlights. Liked 'em so much I ordered 2 more sets when they were on sale.. So far all of them work and I have given some away to friends and family. The rest,I have around my house and come in handy when i need it.
