When Am I Most Fertile?
You are most fertile during the 5 days leading up to ovulation and the day of ovulation itself. Sperm can survive in the body for up to 5 days, so having intercourse during this window increases the likelihood of fertilization.
Understanding Your Cycle
- Follicular Phase: Starts on the first day of your period. The body prepares an egg for release.
- Ovulation: The egg is released from the ovary (usually 14 days before the next period).
- Luteal Phase: The time after ovulation until the next period starts.
