DPI / PPI Calculator

What is DPI/PPI?

Pixels Per Inch (PPI) or Dots Per Inch (DPI) is a measure of the pixel density (resolution) of an electronic image device, like a computer monitor or television.

Higher PPI/DPI means the display is sharper. For example, "Retina" displays typically have a PPI over 200, making individual pixels hard to see at normal viewing distances.

How to Calculate

The calculator uses the Pythagorean theorem to find the diagonal resolution in pixels, then divides by the diagonal screen size in inches.
