Cookies & browser storage
Cookie Policy
Cookies are small pieces of data stored by a website in your browser. Similar technologies, such as session storage, work differently and are explained separately below.
Optional Microsoft Clarity analytics
Microsoft Clarity analytics starts only after you choose “Allow analytics.” It can use cookies or similar identifiers for analytics and session replay. If you decline, Clarity is not initialized. Your analytics choice is saved in local storage; this preference is not itself a cookie. You can change your choice on the Privacy Choices page.
Microsoft’s service may process interaction data such as page views, clicks, and scrolling, along with browser/device details and page content needed for session replay. Microsoft says input fields and dropdowns are masked by default. See the Microsoft Privacy Statement for its data practices.
Similar storage in a specific tool
The Image Encryptor uses browser session storage for its password field so the password can remain available during the active browser session. Session storage is not a cookie and is normally cleared when that session ends, but browser behavior may vary. You can clear it in your browser’s site data settings. Do not reuse a password that protects another account.
Third party files and services
Some tools request code or data from external providers, including content delivery networks and APIs. Those providers may receive ordinary request information such as your IP address and requested resource. Their own policies explain their practices. A browser cookie setting may not block every type of external request.
Managing browser data
You can use your browser’s privacy settings to review site data, remove storage, or block cookies. Blocking or clearing data can affect features. For permission controls such as location and microphone, use the browser’s site permissions panel. Visit Privacy Choices for the current available controls.
