About World Clock
Compare the current local time in a set of cities and countries shown by the page. The display uses browser timezone data, which can change when governments adjust time rules.
How to use this tool
- 1Browse or select the cities listed in the world clock.
- 2Compare their displayed local times and date labels.
- 3Confirm important meeting times with a current calendar invite and the recipient's timezone.
How the tool works
The tool formats the current instant in each city's configured timezone using browser internationalization support. A timezone database maps that instant to local clock time, including daylight-saving rules available in the browser.
Worked real-world example
When it is 09:00 in one city, another city can be on a different date as well as a different hour because of timezone offset.
Common scenarios and use cases
Coordinate a casual call, check a city's local date, or compare time zones while travelling.
Important details and limitations
The city list is finite, and browser timezone data may lag a recent legal change. A displayed time does not account for a person's travel or calendar preference. Verify critical schedules.
Check the output unit as well as the number. If the result will be reused in another calculation, retain full precision where possible and round only at the end. For measurements governed by a technical specification, use the standard and tolerance required by that document.

Why can a time change by season?
