Tool guide
About Full Screen Colors
Display a selected solid or custom color across a large browser area to help inspect a panel or test color appearance. Browser controls and system overlays may remain visible, and this page is not a calibrated color tool.
How to use this tool
- 1Choose a preset or enter a custom color using the available controls.
- 2Open the display in full screen if you want fewer browser controls in view.
- 3Check the screen from a normal viewing distance and exit full screen when finished.
How the tool works
The page changes the browser element's CSS background to the selected color and can request the Fullscreen API. The browser may keep system UI or reject fullscreen, and color output is affected by the display profile and brightness.
Worked real-world example
A solid black background can help reveal some bright pixel issues, while a white screen may make dark spots easier to notice.
Common scenarios and use cases
View a uniform color for a simple screen inspection or check how a design color looks on your device.
Important details and limitations
This does not calibrate color, measure brightness, or confirm display quality. Avoid long exposure to intense patterns and use the manufacturer's process for professional calibration.
Check the output unit as well as the number. If the result will be reused in another calculation, retain full precision where possible and round only at the end. For measurements governed by a technical specification, use the standard and tolerance required by that document.
Frequently asked questions
Why did full screen not open?
The browser requires a user gesture and may restrict the API.
Does the color match its hex value exactly?
Not necessarily; display profiles and panel settings affect appearance.
Can it measure screen brightness?
No. It only displays a color.
