About Clicks Per Second Test

Count how many times you click a target during a short timed round and show the average clicks per second. The result depends on the mouse or touch input and is only a casual speed check.

How to use this tool

  1. 1Start the timed round.
  2. 2Click the target as quickly as you comfortably can until the timer ends.
  3. 3Review the click count and CPS result, then retry if you want to compare.

How the tool works

The page counts accepted clicks during the configured interval and divides the count by the number of seconds to calculate CPS. It does not count clicks outside the target or measure force and device polling directly.

Worked real-world example

Twenty clicks in five seconds equals 4 clicks per second.

Common scenarios and use cases

Play a quick clicking challenge or compare your own rate across different input devices.

Important details and limitations

Clicking speed varies with practice, ergonomics, browser event handling, and input hardware. Avoid repetitive movement if your hand becomes uncomfortable; the score is not a measure of health or gaming ability.

Check the output unit as well as the number. If the result will be reused in another calculation, retain full precision where possible and round only at the end. For measurements governed by a technical specification, use the standard and tolerance required by that document.

Frequently asked questions

How is CPS calculated?

Total accepted clicks divided by the timed duration in seconds.

Does a touch tap count?

The page behavior depends on browser pointer events and device input.

Is a higher score always better?

It is just a game metric; stop if repetitive clicking causes discomfort.
